Undelivered millstones at Stanage Edge, Derbyshire (SK 251830).

Although many people describe these as millstones, I believe a lot of them were grindstones destined for the edge tool workshops in Sheffield.  There are several locations around this area where there are stacks of stones like these – waiting for an order that will never come!
